Join us as we tour the 1810 Farmhouse at Meadow Farm Museum at Crump Park. The event is open to all! Bring your friends and family. In addition we will visit the Parsons Center to see three new permanent exhibits that explore the stories of the Native Americans who traversed the land for centuries prior to English settlement. The story of Gabriel, whose narrative was impacted by the actions of two Sheppard family slaves and whose rebellion changed laws governing enslaved individuals throughout the state. Finally, the story of the Parsons family as their lives were intertwined with the Sheppard family for three generations.
If we have more than fifteen folks sign up for the event we may have to split into two groups so that we respect the visitation capacity of the home.
Participants are also welcome to walk the grounds and bring a lunch if you'd like to spend the afternoon exploring.
