
About this Event
Join us as we train for a metric century the best way we know how: with snacks! We'll embark on gradually longer rides each month, building up to a full 100km 'metric century' ride in September. If you're new to long rides, don't worry! We broke it up into bike-sized pieces with rest stops and nourishment along the way. Come for one, a couple, or join us all season long for a guaranteed 'bonk-free' ride through the Triangle.
April - 30 miles
May - 35 miles
June - 40 miles
July - 45 miles
August - 50 miles
September - 62 miles (100km)
We will be visiting some our favorite snack spots in the Triangle region, including bakeries, cafes, and off-the-beaten-path BBQ. While the ride is free to join, riders will purchase their own food. Rides will be at intermediate "B" pace, meaning we'll be averaging about 17mph over rolling terrain. Join us as we roll through scenic countryside and explore North Carolina's small towns, and don't forget to come hungry!
