While we travel learn about the history of each community and the important role each played in the history of Marathon County.
Then it’s time to hop off the bus and into the community to explore further. We will be greeted by local history experts at each stop who will take us deeper into the history of the people, businesses, and culture of each community.
Hear and see about the brick making days of Ringle; visit St. Florian’s, a center of the community in Hatley; take a walk in Elderon and learn about businesses and bank robbers; step inside St. Ladislaus to learn about its saint and its members; and tour downtown Mosinee to hear and see how its unique beginnings and Native American culture can still be seen today.
Each participant will receive a goody bag. And, of course, we’ll have surprises along the way!
Tickets are $50 and are available at Janke Book Store. Cash and check only, please.
Please note that we will be getting off and on the bus multiple times during this tour.
The tour will begin at the GTCC Maintenance Building is at 6206 Alderson Street. If you are coming up Jelinek Street from Kennedy Park, it is the second driveway on the right.
