The 18th annual Tour de Dirt a spectacular bike ride exploring lesser-known roads in Floyd County, VA. More than 50% of this ride will be held on unpaved state roads – Gravel bike, Cross bike, or Mountain bike friendly. This is a ride and not a race, meant for fun and fellowship and appealing to riders of any age.There are four (4) routes to choose from a 13.4, 36.3, 56.3, and 78.1 mile. There is a short prologue ride at Chantilly Farm Campground to get to the roads and once again staggered starts. It is a great place to camp for the event, and they are offering a discount to Tour De Dirt participants! If you are interested in tent camping, please contact Floyd Family Campground directly, tell them you are participating in Tour De Floyd.
Early Packet Pickup will be Friday Night from 4:30-8pm at the Farmers Market (come and visit the town), and Saturday morning starting at 7AM at Floyd Family Campground. On the day of the event, please be at Chantilly Farm between 7:00 and 8:00 am so you can sign up, sip some coffee, and snack on some baked goods!
Your registration includes on course aid stations PLUS a meal ticket. Please purchase separate meal tickets for anyone in your party who is not registering for the bike tour.
All proceeds from the entry fee go to support Floyd’s own Plenty! Farm & Fresh Food Pantry.
