A Tour and Wine Tasting at Manitoba's Only Commercial Vineyard! Tickets will include a bus ride to the farm, samples and BBQ.We are so excited to share our second annual Vineyard Tour!
Shrugging Doctor Beverage Company, a Winery founded in 2017 and based in Winnipeg, has been growing grapes in Southern Manitoba's Pembina Valley for almost 8 years. Because it is a working farm, we only have the opportunity to have a tour once a year!
Ticket holders will meet us at our Winery in Sunny St. James in Winnipeg, where we have rented a comfortable greyhound style bus. We will travel down to the Vineyard (around 1.5 hour trip) together.
When we reach the vineyard you will be showed around the vines of our 10+ grape varietals, and master winemaker Zach Isaacs will give his story on the journey of horticulture and winemaking in Manitoba's harsh winters. (You might even be able to taste some of the grapes!)
Throughout the tour, small samples of different wines will be provided, all made from Manitoba grown ingredients.
We will end the tour with a little barbeque (vegetarian options available) while we share stories and answer questions, enjoying the wonderous nature of Manitoba's Pembina Valley.
When we return by bus back to the Winery in Winnipeg, ticket holders will be able to purchase sealed bottles of wine from our tasting room, as well as some first access to some seasonal products not yet released to the public.
We will be hosting this tour the week before grape harvest to insure that the grapes are the biggest, best and tastiest they could possible be.
