Bismarck Historical Society is honored to welcome back Winston Satran, author of Tough But Fair: Reformation of a Prison, the Memoir of a Warden. Building on a past program on the history of the ND State Penitentiary, Winston will share his experience turning a 28-year career working with troubled juveniles and convicted felons into a memoir scheduled for release through NDSU Press in 2026.
