About this Event
What is your relationship to the natural world? Whether you’re a gardener, an angler, an explorer, or an artist, what sustenance do you draw from nature—from digging in the soil or standing on its shores? Where do you find your spiritual connection…at the beach, in the mountains, on the plains, or in the woods? If you feel discomfort in nature, what is the source of this sentiment?
“When we love the earth, we are able to love ourselves more fully.”
—bell hooks, Touching the Earth
In this writing circle, we will consider our relationships with nature and what it offers us for our individual and communal well-being. We’ll also explore what it might need from us. What are the consequences of us continuing to be disassociated from the land and the lifeforms that populate it? How can we begin a journey of earthly well-being for all?
This writing circle will be facilitated by Tru Leverette Hall. Open to anyone who identifies as a woman. Class size limited to 8.
