Touch Grass Weekend Wanderer: North Yorkshire (September 19-22)

Escape the hustle and bustle of the city for a weekend away in nature. Share stories around the fire, engage in deep conversations under the starlit sky, and form bonds with fellow adventurers that will last a lifetime.

September's weekend wander will be to North Yorkshire. Join us at YHA Boggle Hole. Tucked away in an old smuggler’s cove, this lovely hostel will delight and inspire you, with its treasure trails, stunning sea views and wooded grounds for the kids to explore.

Robin Hood's Bay is a picturesque old fishing village on the Heritage Coast of the North York Moors. There's a sandy beach, as well as rock pools to explore and ancient fossils to discover. Wandering through its narrow, twisting cobbled streets and alleyways, you can easily imagine the sailors and fishermen, smugglers and press gangs that walked these streets hundreds of years ago.

Meeting place/time: Wapping - 8:45am sharp, we leave London via coach at 9am. No exceptions.

Touch Grass is an outdoor community for queer women and non-binary people of colour.

We are committed to fostering community growth through outdoor gatherings and wellness-focused trips that encourage us to rekindle our relationship with nature. Our immersive experiences go beyond relaxation—it's about empowerment, wellness, and forging meaningful connections.

Our vision is for queer people of colour to see the outdoors as a space where we belong. A Natural England study found that White people are 70% more likely than Black and Asian people to spend time in the countryside. We want to change this. We deserve to reap the benefits of improved emotional well-being and physical health too.

We believe creativity and nature go hand in hand, which is why most of our events encourage you to embrace nature and your inner creative spirit.
