Touch-a-Truck, a fundraiser for the Junior League of Spokane, provides a unique opportunity for children to explore vehicles of all types, including public service, emergency, utility, construction, landscaping, transportation, delivery, and just plain cool - all in one place! Children get to touch their favorite vehicles, get behind the wheel, and meet the people who help to build, protect, and serve our community. Now in its 15th year, Touch-a-Truck has long been a tradition for many Spokane area families.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: Is this a fundraiser? Is that why you have to pay for this event?
A: Yes! This has been the signature fundraiser for the Junior League of Spokane, a 501(c)(3) organization, for the past 15 years. Your support allows the Junior League of Spokane to continue their mission of advancing women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training. They currently seek to support and nurture families and children in the greater Spokane area, focusing on women, children, and families who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and trauma. Thank you for your support!
Q: I would like to sponsor and/or bring a truck the event? How do I sign up?
A: Please click on the "Sign Up" at https://spokane.jl.org/touch-a-truck/ to access our sponsorship and participation packet. In it you will find information on how to sign up, sponsorship levels and benefits and more about how the funds are used to support the mission of the Junior League of Spokane
Q: Do you have etickets available for purchase?
A: Yes! This year we are piloting the use of an eticketing program. You will be able to pull up the link to the tickets and we will scan them at the entrance. Note, the QR code is unique and may not be shared. There is no transaction fee for purchasing the etickets, however, we do have a setting in which you may donate the credit card processing fees.
Q: When I go to buy etickets, it is asking me to put in my name and email,is this correct?
A: It is. The way this program works is that it collects your name and email at the beginning. It may say that it cannot find an account, and that is ok. (Note: if you are a JLS member, please sign in with your account credentials that you use for portal access). We DO NOT require you to make an account. Just click next and it will take you to the ticket purchasing screen.
Q: How do I get my etickets?
A: After you purchase your tickets, you will receive an email from "[email protected]" In this email, at the very end, there is a hyperlink that will pull up your eticket. Please check your spam. If you do not receive this email within 24 hours, please email [email protected] and we will resend you the link. Please include your name and the email you used so we can accurately find your transaction.
Q: Will there be food to purchase at the event?
A: Yes! We will have PNW Espressgo, Kona Ice, and Spokane Hot Dogs available with food for purchase. Some truck booths may also be handing out candy.
Q: Where do I park?
A: The event will be held at Spokane Community College in parking lot P17. You may park in any of the surrounding lots for free. Please do not park in spaces specifically marked reserved. Due to the safety of our participants, we ask that you do not park on the street in front of the event.
Q: What happens if it rains? Will I get refunded?
A: The event will occur rain or shine. Because this is a fundraiser, there are no refunds offered since the event will occur regardless of the weather.
Q: Is there a sensory-friendly time?
A: Yes. The entire event should be more sensory- friendly (no honking of horns) with the exception of 1:45-2:00pm, where we will let kids honk horns. While we do ask kids to not honk horns at other times, it may be possible that an accidental horn gets blown, and we are sorry in advance if this happens. There will also be music played at this event.
Q: I see that there is a car seat check being offered by Safe Kids Spokane. Is there a cost for this? How do I go about getting my car seat install checked?
A: This is a free event offered by Safe Kids Spokane. There will be numerous Child Passenger Safety Technicians available to give you the best advice and help you keep your child safe. They will be on the far end of the event. Follow the signs to their entrance, and they will be happy to help!
Q: The Junior League of Spokane sounds like an amazing organization! How do I find out more information about joining?
A: Please visit https://spokane.jl.org/membership/join-us/ and fill out the interest page. One of our membership committee members will get back to you shortly. We would love to have you join us!
