About this Event
Families of pre-school aged children (3-5 years old) are invited to explore the wonders of the Weedon Island Preserve! This class will focus on the Gopher Tortoise, a keystone species and icon of the Preserve. In addition to learning about these special tortoises though crafts and activities, families can also participate in the Gopher Tortoise Tot Trot. This family-fun run will pass by gopher tortoise burrows and hopefully give us the opportunity to observe some wild tortoises!
Spots are limited so advance registration is required for all youth participants.
Pinellas County complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act. If you are a person with a disability who needs any accommodation in order to participate in this class you are entitled, at no cost to you, to the provision of certain assistance.
