About this Event
For over seventy years, South Portland High School and Kaler Elementary School students have lived in the daily shadow of industrial oil storage tanks that threaten our community. The nineteen aging vats at the Hill Street Tank Farm, now mostly idle, risk contaminating our air, soil, and groundwater. Exposure to their emissions can cause serious impacts to health and safety, endangering the well-being of our citizens and the environment. You can read more here: TossTheTanks.com
