Opera Tosca Giacoma Puccinija se dogaja v Rimu leta 1800, ko Napoleon ogroža oblast v Italiji. Zgodba prepleta resnične dogodke in čustvene osebne drame, ki jih poudarja mogočna glasba. Glavno vlogo igra sopranistka Sondra Radvanovsky, tenor Jonathan Tetelman in bas Bryn Terfel. Koncert vodi dirigent Modestas Pitrėnas z orkestrom in zborom mariborske opere.

Giacomo Puccini’s opera Tosca is set in Rome in the year 1800, a time when Napoleon threatens the existing power in Italy. The story weaves together real historical events and intense personal drama, all underscored by Puccini’s powerful music. The leading roles are performed by soprano Sondra Radvanovsky, tenor Jonathan Tetelman, and bass Bryn Terfel. The concert is conducted by Modestas Pitrėnas, accompanied by the orchestra and choir of the Maribor Opera.
