About this Event
In this youth/adult co-cooking class we will show you how to mix a variety of plant-based colors into corn masa, prepare the dough, press them, and cook them on the stovetop, resulting in exciting and vibrant tortillas that your whole family will delight in! Fillings will be provided so that you and your child can snack on your beautiful tortillas at the end of class.
Sample Menu:*
- Corn masa tortillas mixed with beet and spinach
- Pinto beans and veggies for tacos
* This is a sample menu based on the menu of a previous class. The menu is subject to change based on what is in season/available and the instructor's preference.
Skills taught:
- How to prepare corn masa dough
- How to add edible colors to the dough
- How to cook the tortillas
Class fee: $25.00 per child/adult pair; includes a snack.
Ages: 6-12 with an adult*
* Note: Each child must have an adult who is present and participates with them during the entire class.
Allergens: Please note that the following common allergens are part of the base recipes of this class, and therefore cannot be omitted:
- Corn

- If you would like to bring two children, please register twice and bring two adults.
- Cancellation policy: Due to the small class sizes and nature of planning for fresh ingredients, refund requests made less than 2 weeks before the class date may not be accepted. Note that refunds may not include the Eventbrite processing fee.
