Step Into the World of Climate Negotiations!
Are you passionate about climate change and eager to make a difference? Following the largest annual global climate conference, or COP29, the Toronto Youth Climate Negotiation Simulation brings the action to you!
This immersive, hands-on event invites Toronto youth to experience the challenges and opportunities of global climate negotiations. Using the acclaimed Climate Action Simulation by Climate Interactive, you'll take on the role of a key decision-maker—government official, industry leader, activist, or scientist—and collaborate with others to create solutions that combat climate change.
What to Expect:
- Learn by Doing: Understand the complexities of climate negotiations as you strategize and make decisions for a sustainable future.
- Take on a Role: Represent a critical stakeholder in the climate ecosystem, from renewable energy innovators to global policymakers.
- Real-time results: Using Climate Interactive’s EN-ROADS Dashboard, we’ll see exactly what the impact of proposed solutions will have on our goal of limiting global warming to 2 degrees Celsius or less.
- Make Real-World Connections: Explore how decisions made globally can inspire local actions for Toronto and beyond.
- Collaborate and Reflect: Work with peers to create a simulated climate plan and reflect on its impact in a dynamic group setting.
