About this Event
Toronto Saxophone Collective Holiday Concert
Join the Toronto Saxophone Collective as we open our third season with a festive fusion of French masterworks and holiday classics all re-imagined through the rich, unexpected sonorities of a saxophone ensemble. Celebrating the 150th anniversary of Maurice Ravel, this program pairs his shimmering Tombeau de Couperin with sparkling French gems and beloved Christmas favourites.
We are especially delighted to present saxophonist Christopher Jones in Decruck’s luminous and rarely heard Sonate en Ut#, performed in a special arrangement crafted by members of the collective. In fact, most of the evening’s arrangements are our own, offering a fresh and vibrant take on these iconic works.
Ring in the season with lush harmonies, winter sparkle, and French elegance performed across two concert dates.
December 5th at College St United Church (452 College St)
