With the perfect combination of Mixology and Speed dating we offer you an event like no other out there as you are guided through the steps to make the perfect cocktail (with non-alcoholic options available), and the opportunity to enjoy it while meeting singles serious about dating. This is not a simple speed dating event, this is a dating experience for singles to meet.

Prepare yourself for an experience of the senses and mind as you learn to professionally craft two signature Nickel 9 cocktails, taught first hand by master mixologists! "The Hidden Temple" which is crafted with their Hidden Temple Gin and "Sweet & Spicy" which is created with their Northern Temple Vodka and a wedge of watermelon for an oh so refreshing taste. Rather than a typical Flare Event icebreaker, our mixology events add an activity while you mingle with other attendees, which shifts the focus and pressure off of you and creates a uniquely comfortable atmosphere throughout the night. Let your personality shine while you practice and show off your flare as an amature mixologist!

Here’s the run down of our "Mixology & Mingle" speed dating Toronto events: Purchase a ticket and you’ll receive a confirmation email from our team once it has been processed. Keep an eye out on your inbox! On the day of the speed dating event, prepare your best outfit and talking points (remember, first impressions are key). Be prepared to arrive at the venue 15 minutes before the speed dating event begins. Our host will be there to check you in and provide you with a scorecard when you arrive.

Feel free to take the first quarter of the event to sit back, relax, and mingle with the other guests. We encourage you to grab a drink at the bar at this time too (a little liquid confidence never hurts).

Once everyone is in attendance and settled in, it's time to roll up your sleeves and get ready to make some cocktails! A member of Nickel 9's talented team will walk you through step by step on how to make one of their signature drinks and by the end you'll have an expertly crafted cocktail to enjoy for the rest of the event and the bartending skills to boast of in the future!

After the mixology portion is complete, it’s time to start the speed dating! You’ll be seated in front of a potential match with 8 minutes to get to know one another. Feel free to talk about whatever you want, but we always recommend you keep it lighthearted and professional (don’t do anything we wouldn’t do). Once time is up, the ladies remain seated and the gents move down a spot and take a seat at the table of their next potential match.

Remember to take time at the start of each date to write down your dater’s name and, at the end, mark off if you felt it was a good match or not. Once you’ve spoken to everyone, that’s it, you’re done—great job! Make sure your scorecard is filled out correctly, hand it back to our host, and leave the rest to us.
