About this Event
United by the fires of kinship and celebration, we invite you to a live musical gathering where songs take flight and the boundary between performer and audience dissolves. It’s an honour to present the first edition of Toronto Medicine Music — a spirited concert experience that calls us into the starlit stillness of deep listening and the radiant joy of song, rhythm, dance, and collective chant.
Beloved local songwriters and longtime community stewards — Jeremy Legault, Nick Kusiba and Blaise Finnessey will fill the space with skillfully crafted medicine songs and heartfelt messages. With quiet strength and humility, they invite the music to move through them, guiding the evening in a seamless flow from beginning to end. We’re grateful to gather at Alternity, the heart of conscious culture in our city.
This offering was born from the vibrant medicine music community that has blossomed through our local festivals, gatherings and moments of peace — spaces where friendship has deepened and inspiration overflowed. We walk in service to the healing, connective power of song, trusting that nurturing community through live music is among the strongest prayers and celebrations we can share. We’re lovers of sacred gatherings, inspired to rekindle a musical experience that returns to the roots — away from the polish of the industry and into something real, shared and alive. Just as our ancestors sang to weave stories, connect and remember, we come together to offer our heart songs in that same spirit.
Jeremy, Nick, and Blaise will journey through waves of folk, reggae, acoustic soul, world, and psychedelic sound, inviting moments of collaboration, improvisation, and communal chant. Through deep listening and presence, every voice becomes part of the medicine. Join us as we ignite this new chapter and feed the growing flame of medicine music in Toronto.
