Stroll under the night sky guided by the light of a candle with a park ranger who likes to tell tales long forgotten.
Attendees will be given candle-lanterns to borrow for the walk so they can see how the people of the past would have walked through the night many years ago on the prehistoric site of Chucalissa. On this 1.5 mile walk there will be many stops along the way for an opportunity to talk about the site and listen to Southern Folktales shared by the ranger. Terrain for the walk will be easy to moderate. We will meet at the entrance of the campground, 3269 Boxtown. Water and bug spray provided. Feel free to bring a flashlight as well if you don't want to use the candle-lanterns. If you have any questions, call Ranger Daulton at 901-607-7008. $30 per person. Register at tnstateparks.com or via Facebook ticket link.
The night holds secrets, it is up to us to uncover them.
