Join Friends of the Kaw and our partners Native Lands Restoration Collaborative, KDWP, the City of Topeka Utilities Dept., and Shawnee County Research and Extension for a volunteer riverbank restoration workday. We'll remove invasive plant species and plant the riverbank with beneficial natives. Native plants protect the river by slowing and filtering runoff and preventing erosion - and they're beautiful!
Bring workgloves, loppers, a trowel, or a shovel, and water to drink.
