Northwest Montana is full of natural wonders. But what we seem to be missing is the wonderful sound of bluegrass music. We are planning to change that with our 1st Annual Top of the Swan Bluegrass Camp and Jam.
Ferndale is located 6 miles east of the largest freshwater lake this side of the Mississippi River, Flathead Lake. Nestled at the foot of the Swan Mountain range at the top of the Swan Valley, it is the perfect place for a gathering of like-minded musicians who find sitting around a campfire picking and grinning with friends, and even strangers, time well spent.
This is a planned three-day event featuring a few notable bluegrass bands, local vendors selling Montana made wares, and food trucks on a 10-acre tract of land hosted by the A-Bar, one of the best destination restaurant casino bars in the Flathead area.
Being this is the first of an annual event, it will be dry camping (no hookups, running water will be available) and camping spots will be on a first come first served basis. There is no cost for the participating the camp and jam, but donations are always appreciated…
