About this Event

PS32 University is excited to host Tools & Language for Talking with Kids: Puberty, Sex, Bodies, and Consent parent workshop! For parents of children in grades 3 to 5, this in-person session will be presented by Kate Littman Greenberg of the Puberty Project.

This workshop is designed to equip parents with tools to have meaningful conversations with their children about these important topics. We'll cover how to discuss bodily autonomy, consent, sex via reproductive + intimacy lenses, the physical, social, and emotional changes of puberty, and parental monitoring of devices. Don't miss out on this valuable opportunity to learn and grow together. This parent workshop is unable to provide child care.

Before starting The Puberty Project, Kate was the Director of Health Education and promotion at Lehman College. She also held health and sexuality educator roles at Columbia University and the Teen Choice Program at Inwood House. Kate has a BA in Education from Indiana University and a master's in Health Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. She is a Certified Health Education Specialist and a trained Domestic Violence Counselor.
