About this Event
Performed and Directed by students from UCLA & Loyola Marymount University, Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind (30 Plays in 60 Minutes) is a play that changes every night depending on the audience. A clothesline with numbers 1-30 reaches across the stage, our troupe of actors will take a number suggestion from the audience and perform a short play. Then another, then another, and another, until they run out of plays or the 60 minute timer runs out! By using humor to examine topical issues of today, the cast must lean on each other to find each night’s story through spontaneity.

“With a cast of capable young performers, all with good senses of timing and tonal awareness, one of this piece’s major strengths is that no character seems out of place or shoehorned in, that every story adds to and enriches the unfolding tableau.” -The Scotsman
