A special night of post-punk fun from two local artists that share a love for off-kilter guitar lines, odd musical gadgets and looping pedals: One specializing in two minute songs about very specific things and the other in layered instrumental abstractions.Tony Flackett

After over 25 years of making instrumental electronic music under the moniker of DJ Flack, multimedia artist Tony Flackett has gone back to his guitar playing roots (he was in the local art-punk three piece Soothing Sounds For Baby from 85-98) and has created a new one-person-band singer/songwriter project under his own name. His songs are influenced by country, punk, folk and hip-hop and his lyrics tend toward humorous essays on atypical subject matter. His influences include; Tom Waits, The Louvin Brothers, KRS-One, Talking Heads, Phoebe Bridgers, and The Minutemen.
PAW is a film composer, guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, and sound artist who’ll make a combination of soundscapes and instrumental songs with world music, music concrète, and Beefheartian twang filtered through a DIY cinematic prism. Current band projects include bass/synth for Roger C Miller’s (Mission of Burma) Trinary System and Lousivlle based, The Web/Azuza Inkh.
