Tony Craddock, Jr. is a saxophonist who blends jazz, gospel, and soul to create a smooth, uplifting sound. Music
from his three albums and one EP—Uplift, H2O, Convection,
and Christmas in the Air—have received radio airplay
worldwide and on Sirius XM Watercolors, Music Choice
Smooth Jazz, and The Weather Channel.
He has worked with award winning producers including
Ken Navarro, Adam Hawley, and Daniel Weatherspoon;
and Tony has performed with Grammy-winning saxophonist
Kirk Whalum, gospel jazz trailblazer Ben Tankard,
gospel legend Luther Barnes, soul legends Jean Carne and
Norman Connors, and jazz pianist Kayla Waters. He enjoys
playing jazz festivals, concerts, and church worship services
throughout the U.S., often joined by his dynamic band
“Cold Front.”
Tony discovered jazz not in a concert hall, but during The
Weather Channel’s “Local on the 8s” forecast segments as
a kid. Those catchy melodies that played during the forecasts
sparked his passion for the saxophone alongside his
interest in weather. Tony earned a Bachelor of Science in
Atmospheric Science from Cornell University while nurturing
his musical calling.
This unexpected link between jazz and weather is the
purpose behind his music label, Cold Front Music. Just as a
cold front lifts warm air, Tony aims to uplift listeners’ minds
and spirits through music.
