Journey into the San Diego Mountains to explore a hidden treasure — a historic fluorite mine — and view Native American petroglyphs and pictographs etched into the rock. This hike blends history, geology, and culture with desert beauty all around.
• Difficulty: Moderate to Strenuous (steep terrain, slippery when wet)
• Drive: 4-wheel drive needed for final mile (we’ll carpool/shuttle those without suitable vehicles)
• Bring: Water, snacks, hiking boots, long pants, sunscreen, hat, and hiking sticks for balance
