The City of Alexandria will host its 8th Annual Tons of Trucks event on Saturday, September 21, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Chinquapin Park (3210 King St.). The event is now FREE to the public and will take place rain or shine.Children of all ages will have the opportunity to explore their favorite vehicles, get behind the wheel, and meet the people who protect, build, and serve our City. New this year and in celebration of the City’s 275th anniversary, admission is now FREE. The City will also provide a “sensory-friendly hour” for the first 60 minutes of the event (10a.m.-11a.m.).

Truck-themed activities include an art project with the City's Mobile Art Lab, photo opportunities, giveaways, and food truck vendors.

Alternative Transportation (Bike or DASH Bus)
There's no need to find parking if you use Capital Bikeshare to get to the event. Use Line 31 on DASH Bus to get to the event without traffic worries. Bike Valet DMV will have a bike/scooter valet on site for those who bring their personal bikes or scooters to the event.
Door prizes are available to participants who use a Capital Bike or DASH Bus to get to the event (while supplies last). Visit alexandriava.gov/GOAlex for more information on alternative transit options.
