About this Event
Toning and Tuning
Ryan Fisher, Co-Founder of Toning and Tuning, has been working with the human voice since 2003, exploring how sound and vibration influence the nervous system and overall wellbeing.
Sound is something we don’t just hear—we feel it. Gentle vibration from the voice and tuning forks moves through the body, affecting breath, tension, and our ability to relax. Research shows that vocalization and slow, steady sound can support vagal tone, a key factor in how well the body recovers from stress.
In this workshop, participants listen to precision-tuned forks and then vocalize the same frequency, allowing the body to both receive and generate the vibration. This engages breath, hearing, and the throat and chest—areas closely connected to the vagus nerve—helping the nervous system settle into a more balanced state.
