Slow-motion boxing, tape measure tangles, wild pizza dancing. In a playful and absurd crescendo, a hopelessly romantic (and sometimes a little naughty) Italian clown who doesn't speak English tries everything he knows to get the only thing he wants. To be loved?
Tonight! confronts one of the most classic challenges faced by every clown, and probably by every human: the urge to find love. In a crescendo of comic absurdity, the audience is carried joyfully - and sometimes literally - through a bizarre quest for love.

Andrea Barello, born and raised in Italy, approached the world of comedy taking an improv class in San Francisco. When he stumbled into clowning, he immediately knew that he had found his home. Over the years he has studied clown and physical theater with master teachers around the world, including Philippe Gaulier, Aitor Basauri, Paola Coletto, and Dr. Brown.
In 2024 he started a collaboration with the organizations of humanitarian clowning Clowns without Borders (USA) and Llaven nü (Mexico), and was part of a clown tour for displaced and vulnerable populations around Mexico.
He lives in Los Angeles, where he hikes in the Hollywood hills and creates silly clown acts.
Tonight! is his first solo show. Conceived and developed in Los Angeles, in 2024 it got good audience response and reviews at Rogue Performance Festival, Edinburgh Fringe, Toronto Fringe Festival. It won the ‘A Moontagna Fest award and was nominated for the Thessaloniki Fringe award at the Catania Fringe Festival (Fringe Italia Off) 2024.
