The author contrasts the Founding Fathers’ beliefs and philosophies with those of contemporary society. The essays challenge readers to consider the “consequences of departing from the historical use of reason, wisdom, and morality as social and political guidelines.”The author received a degree from SIU and has had a varied career, working at various jobs, including as a newspaper columnist, a mineral specimen miner, an organic farmer, and a nutritional consultant specializing in behavioral addictions. He has lived and worked with people in many geographical regions of the United States.
