DescriptionThe Tom Madzy 5K & Dog Walk offers something for everyone — a competitive 5K race for runners and a fun, family-friendly 1-mile walk for participants of all ages (and their pups)!
The Cause
All proceeds pay the "sports participation fee" for ANY student in ANY sport at ANY school in the Berea City School District who could not otherwise pay such a fee.
Start Times
Race Day Registration and Packet Pickup starts at 8:00am
5K Run & 1 Mile Fun Walk: 9:00am
Timing System
5K - Chip-timed
1 Mile Fun Walk - Untimed (but still a good time)

If you are mailing in your form, please make checks payable to "Hermes Sports & Events " and write "Tom Madzy " in the memo. All mailed entry forms must be received by Wednesday, September 24.

Top overall male and female finisher and top 3 in the following age groups: 19 & Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & Over
🏁 Race Day Highlights 🏃♂️🐶
📍 The race starts and finishes at Lou Groza Field at the Roehm Athletic Complex, and yes, you’ll score a touchdown as you cross the finish line on the football field! 🏈
👕 Race Shirts:
Everyone who pre-registers by 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 23rd is guaranteed a super soft short-sleeve race shirt (sizes subject to availability after that date).
A limited number of shirts will be available for those that register after Sept 23rd at 9:00 a.m. — so register early to lock yours in!
☕🍩🍋 Post-Race Refreshments:
All participants will enjoy delicious post-race treats, including:

🍩 Pastries from Dick’s Bakery
🍋 Lemonade from Raising Cane’s
plus water and bananas
