NOTE : The event has been Postponed to JAN 2025 due to ongoing A/C Reparations at the El Paso Museum of Art.
In anticipation of a new El Paso Museum of Art downtown, a statewide campaign was held in 1997 to name the Tom Lea Gallery, bringing his far-flung artwork home to El Paso. This tour features the exhibit Tom Lea and Contemporaries and the Tom Lea Gallery.
-Learn about local landscapes, portraits, and mural studies.
-The exhibition uniquely highlights correspondence between artists.
-Exhibition includes over ten local artist, such as, Manuel Acosta, Leola Freeman, Carl Hertzog, Ada Miller, Urbici Soler, and many more!
Itenerary -
- Meet at the lobby of the El Paso Museum of Art at 10:00 am.
- Walk around the museum gallery space. Occasionally standing for long periods of time.
- After the tour, attendees may join the group for a no-host lunch at Unbranded Tavern & Kitchen.
