Tom hingley is the former lead singer of Manchester band Inspiral Carpets, and comes to perform for us at The Rainham Platform 3 Club for the first time.Tom sang on all The Inspiral Carpets major label albums and all hit singles.
Tom will perform with full band The Karpets
The Kar-Pets/an Inspiral Carpets tribute band, with a notable difference from other tributes in that they feature former lead singer of the Inspirals, Tom Hingley, a member of the Inspiral Carpets from 1989 to 2011 and sang on all the bands hits and four albums. With With Tom Hingley at the helm the Kar-Pets are made up of Dickon on farfisa duties, Philip on guitar, Ste on bass and Malcolm on drums. The Kar-Pets will be performing songs from the 30+ years of the Inspiral Carpets including the hits, such as This Is How It Feels, Dragging Me Down and Saturn Five as well as a selection of cover versions such as Gimme Shelter and Tainted Love
Support come from local band The Pastel Waves.
The Pastel Waves are a Medway-based indie band who fuse their collective influences of New Wave, Indie and Brit Pop.
