About this Event
The Purbeck coast and surrounding waters hold a rich and often hidden maritime heritage. In this illustrated talk, maritime archaeologist Tom Cousins explores the archaeology of the Purbecks’ coastal and underwater landscapes, revealing how people have used these waters for trade, industry and travel over thousands of years. Drawing on maritime survey, shipwreck investigation and coastal research, Tom will show how archaeology beneath the sea complements what we see on land, offering new perspectives on Purbeck’s past and the surrounding areas.
