With The Sweet Labour Art Collective and Guest Artists:
Brooke Chrisjohn, Ruth Douthwright, Hannah Goldberg Elias, Linda Jantz, Sarah Kim, Marty Kolls, Louise Moorhouse, Caro Novella, Kevin O’Connor, Montana Summers, Marshall Stonefish, Brandon Valdivia
For the next couple years Sweet Labour Art Collective is actively examining how arts based interventions can promote and support arts-health initiatives by developing mindful movement protocols through a Canada Art Council grant in partnership with London based Global Minds Collective and Dr. Sarah Kim (Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto). This work aligns with the World Health Organization report (2019), that identified a major role for the arts in the prevention of ill health, promotion of inclusive and equity driven health practices, and management and treatment of illness across the lifespan.
