About this Event
We all recognise that local people are 'experts' in their own issues and problems. But when it comes to the solutions to them, how involved or influential are they? Too often communities have things done to them, which leads to them to be disillusioned with those in power, and often feeeling helpless. How do we collaborate better and get to a point where everyone can benefit at the local level?
This day gathers the voices from different sections of the community - starting with those affected by hardship - and then those who have been working alongside them to make things better in the town.
It is a rare attempt to try learn as much as possible from each other in an open and appreciative way. It aims to change the ways we think and work together. It won't change everything but it change more than we think...
