About this Event
In Matthew 28 Jesus gave us the great commission to go and make disciples. A significant part of making disciples is evangelism: sharing the good news of who Jesus is, what he has done through his work on the cross and in his resurrection, and calling people to follow him. Evangelism can seem intimidating; the Together 4 Evangelism conference exists to equip and encourage you to take the good news out through motivating teaching, friendly fellowship, and a group evangelism encounter.
This year we are going to touch on a multiple essential topics:
- Worship as the essential purpose of evangelism - we share the gospel with the desire that God will be glorified
- Understanding salvation is essential to leading people to Christ as we witness for him
- Discipleship and the local church are essential to guiding people not only to start a walk with Christ but to move toward maturity
After teaching, worship, and fellowship, we will then go out to a local park to share the good news of Christ. We will hand out gospel tracts and hopefully have some good conversations. Don't worry if this is your first time. We will pray for you and equip you with gospel tracts and basic evangelism tips, and we would love to have you come out even if only to pray for the effort.
Included in your registration fee is a light breakfast, and lunch. Dinner will not be included in the registration fee, but for those who are interested we can grab an easy dinner at Jet's Pizza next to Centennial Park after the outreach. Please indicate on the registration form the meals you plan to eat and if you have any dietary restrictions.
