About this Event

Doors 7pm // Show 8pm // $15

Todd Day Wait is one of the last real American Workhorse, pedal to the metal, Troubadours by way of Missouri, to California, to New Orleans and now Nashville. The original material of Todd Day Wait, is highly influenced by early American folk, country and blues music from the 1920's through the 1960's, embodying the spirit and authenticity of traditional American music.

Todd Day Wait, whomst you may have heard of from his millions of spins on GemsOnVHS or WesternAF writes and performs his own style of timeless country music. Harking back to Jimmie Rodgers, Willie Nelson, Wynn Stewart and Kris Kristofferson he keeps the spirit of country music alive. In 2009 he put all his earthly belongings on the curb and hit the road, in his diesel shuttle bus fueled by vegetable oil, for a never ending tour. From busking the streets of New Orleans, to playing in the shadow of European castles, to lighting up the honky-tonk dance floors in Nashville, Todd keeps it 60/50.

MARTY BUSH

“a canyon deep baritone most country singers would eat their hat to have” - Bandcamp Daily

Hailing from the plains of eastern Kansas, Marty Bush is a torchbearer of the American songwriting tradition. His songs resonate with the weight of his influences such as Townes Van Zandt, Blaze Foley, and Kris Kristofferson, but he has channeled their emotional honesty and unvarnished truth-telling into something uniquely his own. While his 2022 solo debut “The Long Way Home” established him as a devout follower of the country and western songwriting tradition, his follow-up LP “Cowboy Chords” (out OCTOBER 13th 2023) takes a bold step forward in establishing his voice as both a songwriter and performer. Taking the reins as both producer and engineer, Bush plays every instrument on the album with the exception of pedal steel which is skillfully manned by Devon Teran (Timbers). The result is a clear and precise vision of songs that honor the past and think to the present.

Touring extensively, Bush played over 450 shows in 2022 and 2023. He continued that break-neck pace into 2024, writing songs from behind the wheel and testing material in dives, honky-tonks, and juke-joints all over the US.
