About Gracie's Corner
Gracie's Corner is a beloved YouTube animated sing-along series starring Gracie, an adolescent Black girl who sings and dances to educational, uplifting songs. Created by the father-daughter duo of Dr. Javoris Hollingsworth and Graceyn "Gracie" Hollingsworth, the series was intentionally designed to foster representation and inclusivity both on and off the screen. Dr. Arlene Gordon-Hollingsworth, co-creator of Gracie’s Corner and mother of Gracie, leverages her background in psychology to play a pivotal role in shaping the educational strategies that drive the series’ impact. Together, she and her husband, Dr. Javoris Hollingsworth have demonstrated a deep commitment to creating high-quality, culturally relevant, and engaging content. That dedication has earned Gracie’s Corner significant recognition—including a 2023 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Award nomination for Favorite Female Creator, a 2023 NAACP Image Award nomination for Outstanding Animated Series, a 2024 win for Outstanding Children's Program, and two 2025 NAACP Image Award wins for Outstanding Children’s Program and Outstanding Animated Series. Graceyn "Gracie" Hollingsworth, the star of the brand, has also been honored with a 2025 BET Awards nomination in the Young Stars category.
