Broken Hill bio
Broken Hill is a Southern California-based DJ, producer, and audio engineer known for his intricate rhythms, lush melodies, and syncopated basslines. The man behind the moniker, Kurtis McNevin, is passionate about pushing the boundaries of electronic music.
Exposed to dance music at an early age by his father—a dedicated dance music enthusiast—Broken Hill quickly developed a deep appreciation for the craft. This early inspiration set him on the path to becoming a producer and sound engineer.
Broken Hill's music has gained support from industry heavyweights such as Solomun, Adam Ten, Max Styler, Super Flu, Four Tet, and more. His 2024 Change Your Mind EP on Moscoman’s Disco Halal broke into the top 20 on Beatport’s Indie Dance Charts and received widespread DJ support across the globe.
With a fresh perspective and a distinctive sound, Broken Hill is set to make waves in the electronic music scene, captivating dance music fans worldwide.
