5–8 p.m.
Enjoy drinks on the Plaza inspired by our collection. Carter members get one complimentary drink! Food trucks will be available for purchase all evening long.
Join Carter Community Artist Brenda Ciardiello in exploring Ruth Asawa's unique sculpture. Participants will "draw in the air," as Asawa often described her wire sculpting process, and create their own kinetic wire sculptures in vibrant colors. Supplies are limited to the first 200 people.

6–6:30 p.m.
Experience a cocktail-themed tour of our collection with Carter educator Andi Severin. We’ll learn about which artworks best embody popular cocktails. All of the cocktails will be available for purchase at the bar throughout the night.
6:30–8 p.m.
Listen to Grammy-award winning band and dance on our Porch as the sun sets. For the past three decades the Denton-based quintet has perfected a world-music mix that includes salsa, meringue, rock, cumbia, conjunto, polka, zydeco, classical, cha cha, the blues, and more. The band has won two Grammy Awards and has been nominated seven times. They appeared in an episode of The Simpsons, and their music has been featured on the TV series Ugly Betty, the films Fools Rush In and Academy-award winner The Personals, and they’ve created original compositions for ESPN and The Big Ten network. Brave Combo also played David Byrne’s (lead singer of Talking Heads) wedding reception.
