About this Event
Gabriel Crouch gives his debut performances as Artistic Director of Chamber Choir Ireland in To Star the Dark.
Taking place on the eve of International Womens' Day 2026, this concert will spotlight women composers of the 21st century.
The programme features works by some of the brightest lights in choral music today, including the world premiere of a new commission by Irish composer Amanda Feery.
Feery's new work is a setting of Sólás by Irish poet Doireann Ní Ghríofa, depicting a visit from a sedge-warbler which, in Irish folklore, can be the soul of a child who has passed on returning to comfort their mother with song.
