Karoliina Kase joins us in the Workshop Zone to talk about her journey to veganism and animal rights activism.In 2019, she came to Australia on a Working Holiday Visa. To extend her stay in the country, backpackers have to meet regional work requirements, which usually entails 3 months of work on a farm. Karoliina found her first full time job on a dairy farm as a farm hand. While her initial reaction after starting the new job was to leave, she decided to stay and photograph life on an average dairy farm.
Karoliina will combine her talk with a presentation of her images. The focus points of Karoliina's talk are: insights to the industry, personal experiences, environmental/socioeconomic issues, and psychological observations of people in response to animal abuse and veganism.
