In this course, you will gain the knowledge and skills required by the State of Tennessee to qualify for your Enhanced Handgun Carry Permit.During the class, we will:
•Prepare you to successfully pass the State permit exam
•Administer the official 50-question exam (true/false & multiple choice)
•Conduct the Live Fire Qualification on the range
What you’ll learn:
•Types of firearms: pistols, single action, double action, striker fire, and revolvers
•Firearm parts and operation
•Safe cleaning and maintenance
•Proper shooting techniques
•Tennessee laws for carrying a firearm
At the end of the classroom portion, you will complete the State permit exam, followed by the Live Fire Qualification. A minimum score of 70% is required on both to qualify. Marksman will submit your scores directly to the State, and you’ll receive guidance on completing the permitting process.
Pre-Requisite:
If you are new to handguns or not yet comfortable with their safe use, we recommend scheduling a private lesson with one of our experienced instructors. This will ensure you understand the basics of ownership, proper handling, firing, and most importantly, firearm safety so you can carry with confidence.
