About this Event
We extend a warm invitation to the TMC Monthly Education Training Series and SOCRA Houston Networking Happy Hour to all members of our Houston clinical research community. Join us on December 3rd at TMC3 Collaboarative Building in Helix Hall as we meet in-person to catch-up with our community and gain insights from guest speakers: Wanda A. Quezada, BS, CIP, and Malissa Mayer-Diaz, MS, MSPH.
Wanda and Malissa will discuss, "The intersection between clinical research approvals and safety committee reviews and approvals: A Primer." Following their presentation, attendees will be able to delineate the regulatory criteria that govern clinical investigations involving biologics or radioactive materials and radiation emitting devices, describe the regulatory approval pathway for clinical investigations involving biologics or radioactive materials and radiation emitting devices, describe how and where the safety committee and IRB reviews intersect, and outline the regulatory reporting requirements for noncompliance with the regulations.
