Event Description:
Join us at The Proletariat in Galveston for an unforgettable evening of poetry, storytelling, and community. The TL;DR reading series kicks off with three acclaimed poets—RT Castleberry, Joseph Machado, and Chris Wise—sharing compelling, long-form works. Each poet will perform a 15-minute set followed by a 5-minute Q&A, giving you the chance to delve into their creative processes and themes.
The event concludes with an open mic session at 8 PM. Arrive early (sign up is 6:30-7:00 PM) —spaces are limited! Each open mic performer will have up to 5 minutes or 3 poems (whichever comes first) to share their voice with the audience.
