On Saturday 22nd November the TLC campus will be alive with art, energy, and inspiration - the perfect opportunity to explore what TLC is all about. 𝗪𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰, 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝗸𝘀, 𝗮 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗮𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘀!

𝗖𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗰𝘀 – Step into our ceramics studio, complete with kilns and wheels in action.
𝗝𝗲𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘆 – Watch our students create earrings, bracelets, necklaces, and more.
𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 – Where we explore techniques from screen printing and monotypes to traditional woodcuts.
𝗣𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 – Watch colourful canvases come to life.
𝗛𝗼𝘁 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝘀 – Visit our Hot Arts studios where we create bronze sculpture and knife making.
𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 – View innovative student projects created in our digital suite.
𝗠𝗶𝘅𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮 – Explore our studio where we do soft stone carving, assemblage, and experimental approaches.
𝗗𝗿𝘆 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮, 𝗜𝗹𝗹𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 & 𝗦𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 – Watch drawing and painting from direct observation.
𝗥𝗲𝗻𝘁-𝗮-𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗵 – Tour our fully equipped jewellery and printmaking spaces, available for hire.
𝗞𝗶𝗱𝘀 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 - Explore our new Kids space where we hold our School Holiday Programme (ages 5-13) and After school classes for primary, intermediate and college age.

Visit our LAB Gallery to see an exhibition by our Diploma in Creativity & Art (Advanced) Level 7 students, where we will have.a schedule of Artist talks by our Level 7 students and by TLC's Toi Kaiako and Creativity Kaiako.

Explore the creativity of our students at our Christmas Market stalls! Our student market stalls are packed with unique, handmade artworks, and creations that reflect the incredible talent and skill of our TLC community.
From original paintings, illustrations, photography and prints to jewellery, ceramics, and mixed media pieces, there’s something for everyone. This is a fantastic opportunity to support emerging artists, chat with the creators themselves, and take home a one-of-a-kind piece of art.

𝕃𝔸𝔹 𝔾𝕒𝕝𝕝𝕖𝕣𝕪
While you’re here for our Open Day, make sure to step into the LAB Gallery for a special exhibition by our Level 7 Diploma of Art & Creativity (Advanced) students. This showcase highlights the incredible depth, skill, and originality of our advanced learners as they present their latest bodies of work across a wide range of media and styles.
Right next door, our Gallery Shop will also be open, offering a curated selection of artwork, prints, jewellery, and gifts created by our TLC community. It’s the perfect chance to experience or purchase cutting-edge creativity from local artists.

𝕂𝕚𝕕𝕤' ℂ𝕣𝕖𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕧𝕖 𝕊𝕡𝕒𝕔𝕖
Bring the whānau along and let the little ones join in the fun! Our Kids’ Space will be set up with creative activities designed to spark imagination and play. Children can try their hand at simple art projects, explore different materials, and enjoy a taste of the creativity that thrives at TLC.
You’ll also get the chance to see the space where our Kids Holiday Programme is held, along with our Home School class and Term after-school classes.
It’s a welcoming, hands-on area where kids can get messy, make something special to take home, and discover just how fun art can be. Perfect for keeping young minds engaged while the rest of the whānau enjoys the Open Day!
