About this Event
Tla kiiya Ta xay (Discover Weaving in Haida) Workshop will be for intermediate, advanced, and a few beginning weavers to work on processing, plaiting, and twining a two-inch by two-inch Red Cedar bark basket with Haida Master Artist, Della Stalth kaa waas Cheney. The class will take place at the Alaska Native Heritage Center and materials will be provided thanks to Sealaska Logging, Inc. To enroll, students must agree to attend all 5 days of the workshop. The workshop will take place from 1 to 4 pm on October 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th. Intermediate and advanced students are encouraged to enroll.
