TK’s 10K is a memorial race established to honor the life and service of Hyannis Fire Department Capt. Thomas “TK” Kenney, a passionate technical rescue instructor with over 45 years of experience in emergency, fire, and training services. TK had an expert teaching ability and his service culminated with his retirement as the training captain for the Hyannis Fire Department. He was passionate about technical rescue knowledge and believed that continual training keeps communities and first responders safer. In his honor, our mission is to provide local first responders on the Cape and Islands with resources to encourage, support, and sustain their pursuit of the best available training and education.

Created by Kenney’s daughters Meaghann Kenney and Lauren Kenney Lynn, proceeds from TK’s 10K (a component fund of the Cape Cod Foundation) to provide local first responders on the Cape and Islands with means and resources to encourage, support, and sustain their pursuit of the best available training and education. Stop, drop, and RUN (or walk) with us in the annual race!
Our picturesque course can be run as a 5K or a 10K. Your bib will serve as your ticket to the after party.

Parking for the Race is at 28 Scudder Avenue (Melody Tent Parking Lot). Registration starts at 8:30am and is at 20 Scudder Avenue, The West End. The race starts & ends at The West End. The Race Course is a 5K loop. Best spot for spectators is 95 High School Road Ext. at the Hyannis Fire Department.
