Friday, September 27 & Saturday, September 28, 2024
Antioch University Los Angeles, 400 Corporate Pointe, Culver City, CA 90230
TJ will be speaking and facilitating a workshop, both on Friday, September 27th.
TJ's talk "Conscious Recovery: Exploring Spirituality in the Recovery Process" is on Friday, September 27th from 1:30-3:00 PM.
ABOUT THE TALK
Many clinicians are trained to focus on symptoms and behaviors, but little attention is given to the power of deeply attuning to our clients. In this sacred space of attuned connection, we can better understand our clients and help them connect to the deeper traumas, beliefs and experiences that underlie their ineffective behaviors. In this workshop we'll learn how to help clients access their inner-wisdom and heal from multiple layers of unresolved trauma, spiritual disconnection, and the toxicity of shame.
TJ's workshop "Holding Space, Active Listening and Attunement" is on Friday, September 27th from 3:00-4:00 PM.

ABOUT THE SYMPOSIUM
This is the first conference of its kind, filling a much-needed gap between graduate education and professional practice. The idea for the symposium was borne out of a conversation between Crayton Daniel and Robyn Caruso on the car ride to a community educational event. Robyn, who is now Clinical Faculty at Antioch University Los Angeles, has navigated the challenges of early career practice herself and understands the needs of emerging clinicians. Crayton's experience, values, and connections within the community inspired him to want to connect early career clinicians with career opportunities and experienced professionals within his network who can make an impact when the timing of said impact can be profound. What better way to do this than through this conference? Additionally, another planner is a current student at Antioch University and works in business development, bringing a fresh perspective on the current needs of students entering the field.
