An award-winning musician, composer, producer and percussionist, Ali Jackson stands out as one of the most influential figures in the global jazz scene. The American artist has collaborated with numerous renowned personalities throughout his career, including Aretha Franklin, Tony Bennett, Norah Jones, Eric Clapton, and many others. Some of these partnerships have resulted in distinguished projects, particularly the album “Presidential Suite” by Ted Nash, which won two Grammy Awards in 2017. For this Tivoli Live Session, Ali Jackson will perform in a trio with two acclaimed names in Portuguese jazz: Ricardo Toscano on saxophone and Romeu Tristão on double bass. In Ali Jackson’s words, the audience can expect “music that uplifts the spirit, engages the mind, and opens the emotions.
